For discussion of all things DC. Stuff on the Vertigo imprint can go here as well.

Well, I am currently collecting the weekly Batman Eternal. As far as I know this is the first time Deacon Blackfire has been even mentioned since his initial appearance in 1988's Batman The Cult. If he's going to be returning in some fashion (seems to be supernatural but too early to tell at this point), I find that much more interesting than the return of Carmine Falcone. How that's going to tie together is beyond me and I'm looking forward to finding out.
It's obviously an ambitious storyline and I couldn't resist picking it up. It'd be cool to see Jason Todd involved in some way since he was serving as Robin at the time of Blackfire's rise to power in Gotham - I have to believe the continuity of the New 52 must still recognize this. I'm fairly certain it's the only Batman graphic novel available that includes the Jason Todd Robin not in flashback. If anyone knows of another one I'd love to know.
